How To Do A Barbell Bench Press

Written Instructions

  1. Lie with your back flat on the bench with feet firmly planted in the floor.
  2. Grip the barbell just wider than shoulder width apart.
  3. Unrack the barbell from the rack.
  4. Brace your core.
  5. Bring the barbell down to your chest.
  6. Once contact has been made, drive the bar back up to the starting position, keeping your shoulders and back flat on the bench.
